В московском купечестве с 1874, в 1884 - Купец 1й гильдии, агент, живет в Яузской части, Лялин переулок, дом Архипова.

Глава в 1911 Торгового Дома «Александр Пельтцер» (осн. 1909, пряжа шерстяная), торгует шерстью и другими товарами. Контора на Маросейке в доме Еремеева.

Владелец усадьбы в сельце Литвиново Богородского уезда Московской губернии. Кирпичный дом в немецком стиле постройки конца 1880-х годов сохранился до сих пор.

В 1917 живет в Москве, Докучаева, дом 7, возглавляет Торговый Дом.

Женат на двоюродной сестре. [4; Шрамченко. Справочная книга Московской губернии. М. 1890; 5- 1, 1911; 3, 1917; 9 – в семье его звали «Djeaduschka»]
