drummer boy as he was only 16 at the time of his first enlistment.

Pierrepont also spelled Pierpont. Pierrepont, New York is a posthamlet in
Pierrepont Township, Saint Lawrence County of New York State. It lies9 miles
east-south-east of Canton and 9 miles south of Potsdam. The communityis known
for the manufacture of buttertubs and cheeseboxes. The RacketRiver runs
through the north-east part of the township. It contains a villagecalled
Hannaway Falls.

" Nathan served in the Revolutionary War from Voluntown Connecticut and Clarendon, first enlisting when he was only 16 years old. He was a Justice of the Peace and an elder in the Methodist Church."

Crary, Elias, R2454, Vermont Line, soldier was born at Voluntown in Windham County Connecticut in 1764, applied 6 Jun 1844 in Rutland County Vermont a resident of Wallingford Vermont where he had lived since the Revolutionary War, soldier's brother Nathaniel Crary was aged 78 a resident of Clarendon Vermont in 1844 & in 1845 his brother Nathan Crary was aged 82 a resident of Pierrepont New York, .
