applied for pension while at Pierpont, New York. Believe he served asa
drummer boy as he was only 16 at the time of his first enlistment.
Pierrepont also spelled Pierpont. Pierrepont, New York is a posthamlet in
Pierrepont Township, Saint Lawrence County of New York State. It lies9 miles
east-south-east of Canton and 9 miles south of Potsdam. The communityis known
for the manufacture of buttertubs and cheeseboxes. The RacketRiver runs
through the north-east part of the township. It contains a villagecalled
Hannaway Falls.
" Nathan served in the Revolutionary War from Voluntown Connecticut and Clarendon, first enlisting when he was only 16 years old. He was a Justice of the Peace and an elder in the Methodist Church."
