Became members of the Society of Friends after the birth of most of their children, and by their request the children also became members of that society. Jessie & Avis Thomas, with their daughter, Abigail, who was at the time their only living child, in company with Enoch Harris & family, took passage on board of a vessel from Beaufort, where they then resided, to Baltimore, in the month of May or June, 1802, and went from Baltimore to Ohio with a six-horse team, arriving in Jefferson County, OH early in July.
