Il était originaire de Nikaia, une villequi appartenait au « KOINON des BILLIONs ». Leurmagnifique capitale était BYLLIS, située sur une colline de 531mètres de haut au-dessus de la rivière Vjosa dans l'Albanieactuelle, entre Apolonia et Butrint, à peine 18 km del'Adriatique.
