Robert was the son of Reuben and Elizabeth Baxter Harrison and was married the 15th of March 1846 to Lydia Dennis. They were parents of Elizabeth, Noah, Deborah, Martha, Margaret and John.
After Robert died, Lydia and the children went to Texas with several other families who went West after the War Between the States.
