The birth date reported here for Lou matches neither Lucretia nor Lucinda's birth ages in the 1860 census. Ages there would place birth of Lucretia in about 1855 and Lucinda about September 1859.

We have no death or burial record for Jameson, and in the 1870 census he does not appear with his wife and children. One might conclude he died before the 1870 census. His wife Harriett (Catherine Harriet Jones) was enumerated as Harriet Gregory, the head of the household.

But genealogies report that John Jameson remarried after Harriet died, soon after the 1870 census. What appears to be the same person shows up in the 1880 census in Wyoming, Bath County, Kentucky. His young wife was Emaline Nealis, who was reported as 27 years old in the 1880 census, the wife of John J Gregory, age 53.

This age for John conflicts with previous age reports which would make birth in about 1819. At 53 in 1880, he would have been born in about 1827. James J who was the husband of Catherine Jones should have been about 60. Ages vary a lot in census in that era, so this is not an insurmountable conflict, but is a point of caution.

This may not be John Jameson Gregory who married Catherine Harriett Jones in 1841. The age here is about 10 years younger than reported in previous censuses in Morgan and Rowan County, Kentucky. In the 1870 census, John Jameson's wife Harriett was reported as the head of household, and he does not appear in the census. However, no death or burial information has been found for John Jameson Gregory in Kentucky.

Also note that Martha Gregory was born in 1868, and reports her parents as Jamison Gregory and Emaline Nealis, but the 1880 census reports her as only 8 years old, or born about 1871 or 1872.
