_DCAUSE: Motorcycle accident
As a favourite pastime, he often went sailing (per William Herbert Martin). He died at 10:45pm June 26, 1938 local time from injuries received when the motorcycle with side car attached which he was riding, collided with a motor car which had just become stationary. The coroner's inquest was held July 12, 1938 in Parramatta (Index 1938-1185), (Ref State Archives of NSW film 2768) but the inquest papers have not survived.
