FLEMMER (Moreno), Zella Mae

Passed away peacefully on August 13, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Dolores Martinez in 29 Palms, California at the age of 87. Zella was born on July 4, 1917 in Oregon City, Oregon, to James and Sophronia Ann (Titus) Imel. She was very proud of being a "patriotic baby" and always wore stars and stripes on her birthday. Zella loved people and there was never a stranger at her table. A resident of Sacramento for over 60 years, she recently moved to 29 Palms to live with her grandson and his wife, David and Connie Martinez. She is survived by her son, Richard Moreno, Sr. (Maureen) of Napa, her daughters, Dolores Martinez (Salvador, deceased) of 29 Palms, Marzella Moreno, of Sacramento. She was predeceased by husbands, Enrique Mario Moreno, Sr. and Edward Flemmer, her son, E. Mario Moreno, Jr. (Gladys), her sister Marie Moreno (Edmund), her brothers, Herbert, Frank, and Orville Imel. She is survived by her grandchildren E. Mario "Rick" Moreno, III, Michael Moreno, Vincent Moreno, Theresa Jennings, Richard Moreno, Jr. Pamela Dickey, Veronica Joy Alford, David Martinez, Melinda Furfuro, Lisa Villarreal Seleste Buriani and Stefana Ruelas. Also 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Family and friends are invited to a memorial funeral mass on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 10:00 am at St. Rose's Church, 5961 Franklin Blvd., Sacramento.
