Herbert J. Carlos, age 66, of Houma died Thursday in Houma. He was a retired tool pusher for Texaco. Visitation was scheduled to begin late this afternoon at Chauvin Funeral Home, with a rosary set for 7:30 p.m. today. The wake will resume 8 a.m. Saturday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial following in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ford Carlos; two sons, Dale Patrick and Glenn Joseph Carlos; three brothers, Julius Carlos of Gray, Leo Carlos of Houma and Charles Carlos of Boutte; and three sisters, Mrs. Eldon Harrell of Harahan, Mrs. John Dollar of Mandeville and Mrs. Helen Whipple of Houma.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Herbert Carlos and Bernadette Bergeron Carlos. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
