Though I have been doing genealogy on the internet for three years, I have yet to run across anyone else researching my line. It begins with Christopher Henry Orth coming to the US from Elberfeld, Germany with one brother (George) and four sisters. I have no date, but it must have been about 1800. He married Lucretion Sheldon and they had nine children including my ggrandfather(also named Christopher Henry). CH II married Mary Jane Torrence. They lived in Steubenville, OH; Connelsville, PA and Hiawatha, KS. After she died, he married Mary Leonard. I have a tree compiled by Montford Stokley Orth about 1900 and renewed by Willian Alva Orth in 1937.I'm slowly turning it into a Gedcom. Let me know if you suspect a connection.
