LAWRENCE EVERETT SINGER Age 89 of Tequesta, FL, passed away at the Palm Beach Gardens Hospice Unit. Born in Chicago, IL, he had been a resident since 1984, coming from Evanston, IL. Prior to retirement, Mr. Singer was a Regional Sales Managerfor Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. While serving as a combat medic he saved the lives of three men who were wounded byenemy fire. Corporal Singer received the Silver Star for the gallantry. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Singer of Tequesta, FL; three stepsons, Raymond, Frederick and Stephen Yates; two sisters, Paula Gottlieb of Chicago, IL and Muriel Shandling ofTucson, AZ; and one nephew, Gary Shendling of CA. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6400 Roebuck Road, Jupiter, FL.Friends are invited to meet with the family from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street,Jupiter, FL.
