Individual Note

Amasa Shaw's obituary mentions Mr. and Mrs. Ole Christianson of Green Bay, WI, and Harold and Bertha Christianson of Manitowoc, WI.

Pauline's obituary: "Death ofMrs. Amasa Shaw. Stricken While at Work bout the House and Died Within Three Days. Mrs. Amasa Shaw died at her home in the Third ward about 8:00 o'clock Monday morning. Mrs. Shaw was on Friday stricken down with paralysis while at work about the house. She fell when overcome, which probably produced hemmorhage of the brain which was the direct cause of her death. Paralysis extended over the left side, rendering her helpless. Pauline Christianson was born in Norway, Oct. 29, 1850, and was married in Milwaukee, Wis. to Carl Anderson in 1868 shortly after she came to this country. The couple later removed to Manitowoc, where they resided until they came to Door county in 1880. Their homestead, where Mr. Anderson died in 1903, is situated near Sawyer. In 1905 Mrs. Anderson was married a second time to Amasa Shaw, who died only a few months ago, in August last. Mrs. Anderson-Shaw was aged 60 years, one month and seven days. She is survived by ten children: Mrs. Charles Ewerts and Mrs. Edw.Mann, of Chicago; Norman, of Cascade, Mont., Mrs. Frank Reynard, Sawyer; William of Sawyer; Mrs. Henry Erickson. [sic] city; Andrew, of Gand Rapids, Mich., and Patra, Louis and Elvilda at hom. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock from the residence thence to Shiloh where interment was had following the services at the church. Revs. Wm. H. Vogler, of the Moravian church, and J. T. Leek, of the M. E. church, officiating."
