I have been dealing with the families from Glarus for many yearsand I am mainly looking for the descendants of the emigrants fromGlarus who left the country in the middle of the 19th century untilthe beginning of the 20th century. Due to this research of manyyears I could build up a database with more than 290'000 persons.So I can show on the one hand the emigration history of the Glarusemigrants and on the other hand prove the roots of theirdescendants. I have created a Glarus family tree that goes back tothe beginnings of church records in the canton of Glarus, assomething as far back as the 16th century. 

Practically all persons recorded and documented in the Glarusfamily tree are linked to each other and are usually recorded up tothe progenitors (the first ancestors mentioned in documents). Thiscreates a unique family tree of the citizens of the canton ofGlarus and allows a very comprehensive kinship analysis over morethan 15 generations.
