1683 - Victor ousted his mother who had served as regent
1690 - Victor joined the League of Augsburg against France. When Spain refused to grant Victor Milan, Victor made a separate peace with France in exchange for control of Pinerolo.
1703 - In the War of Spanish Succession, Victor switched sides from France to the Habsburgs.
1713-1718 - At the Peace of Utrecht, Victor was elevated to the title of king of Sicily.
1720-1730 - Victor exchanged Sicily for Sardinia which became Italy's strongest state.
1730 - Victor abdicated as duke of Savoy.
1730 - Count of Tende

This project evaluates the concept of a Unifying Ancestry, towhich all persons of Western European Descent should be able tolink their ancestors.  The basis for a core genealogy is theset of common ancestors of the royal lines of Europe (34,067persons).  To test the concept, 616 persons identified inPalmer's History of the Modern World have been linked to thegenealogy, comprising 84% of the total number mentioned in thehistory book.  A paper on "Trustworthy Communications andComplete Genealogies: Unifying Ancestries for a GenealogicalHistory of the Modern World" is available at https://www.coregen.center andon Amazon.  The Research Genealogy and Coregen3 AnalysisWorkbench are available as free educational software from both theMac App Store and Microsoft Store.
