Chronique familiale

WHEN SEARCHING FOR A NAME, MAKE SURE YOU WRITE THE FULL NAME AS THE SEARCH OTHERWISE GIVES UNEXPECTED RESULTS USING SOME SORT OF SOUNDEX (probably from the french language).

If a person has multiple family names i.e. "ARNESDTR NORDGAARD" you may try searching for both "ARNESDTR" and "NORDGAARD". However, one of these names are registered as a surname alias and requires the first name also to be included in the search string. Example: If "ARNESDTR" is the surename, you will succeed with that search string. "NORDGAARD" is then a surename alias and you will also succeed with that search string if it includes the first name "Marry". If the person has multiple first names, only one is registered as the first name, the others as first name alias. Example: If a persons first names are: Marry Lisa, then the first name is "Marry" and the first name alias is "Marry Lisa". You may look up the example person above to have this illustrated. IMPORTANT! IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE FULL NAME, LOCATE THE INDIVIDUAL BY USING THE ALPHABETIC SYSTEM. NAME CONVERTIONS ARE BEING DONE CONTINUOUSLY TO ADAPT TO THE ABOVE STRUCTURE.
