Kajsa grew up at Hulta, Gummenäs.Her father, who was poor, died when she was 7 years old, and after that the family had to rely on poorrelief. Kajsa had her confirmation in 1845, then moved to Barkerud to work as a farm maid first for Anders Andersson, and from 1847 for Hans Andersson. In 1848 she moved to Kesnacken and worked for Lars Bäckström and 1850 to Torrskog.She returned to Kölen in Torrskog a few years later.In 1854 she moved to Kesnacken where she married Johannes Danielssonin 1857. They had a stillborn child 1857 31/10. In 1861 they moved to Bön as crofters and to Gummenäs in 1868.Her husband Johannes emig.alone to USA in 1881. Their sons emig.later: J.B. in 1882, August in 1887, Frans in 1889. Johannes came back and returned to USA once again 1886-1889. The family had moved to Kesnacken in 1884, where Johannes had bought a farm, probably with the money earned in USA.
